About the Current Owners
Harry Tenneson was a successful and well respected representative of Carter Ink Company (later becoming Dennison/Carter and Avery) who served the Northwest Territory of Washington, Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. The original owners were getting ready to retire and approached Harry with the opportunity to take over their business.

In 1976, Harry and his wife Irene bought the store from Frank and Jo Pomeroy. Their son David, daughter Jane, and son-in-law Chris worked as trainees alongside the Pomeroy's for several years to learn the business, and later became the sales staff, book-keepers, and management.

In 1980, a corporation was formed with Chris and Jane Bihary as owners of this well respected retail operation. To the present day the dedicated husband and wife team have struggled to transform Queen Anne Office Supply from a small "ma and pa" business to a commercial operation while raising two children.

Community Ties
The Bihary's business focus includes giving back to the community. A portion of every purchase at Queen Anne Office Supply is used to help children, local non-profit groups, the elderly, and the less fortunate. Jane and Chris are long-term volunteers and donors to local schools, youth groups, homeless shelters, and homes for the elderly. They continue to organize annual Community Clean-Ups and Graffiti Paint-Outs, while supporting the Queen Anne Help Line, the Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce, and the Seattle Police Department. Since 1976 they have sponsored a Little League Baseball Team and organized holiday caroling in local convalescent homes.

In 2003, written commendations from local business representatives allowed Queen Anne Office Supply the honor of receiving the Mayor's Small Business Award.
